Anonymous said: Hey, was wondering if you can give photo examples of distinct storyboarder styles for AT. Like, how can you tell who storyboarded without looking at the credits?
I think I’ve done this before?
Ehhh, alright then. I’ll tell you how some of the artists draw Finn (or other characters) distinctly. I’ll post this then go to sleep:
Thomas Herpich draws Finn large and box-shaped, usually emphasising his chubbiness, usually with lots of detail on his clothing and body shape.
Jesse Moynihan likes to draw Finn with his nibs in a little bit, and draws characters with longer, more wobbly lines, as well as oval eyes.
Rebecca doesn’t board for the show anymore, but the scenes she boarded usually have deep artistic detail and expression on the individual characters, with numerous lines on the face, and long, oval dot-eyes (not to be mistaken for Jesse’s oval eyes). She draws Finn round and very chubby, and often very small too.
I’d do more, but these are the three that are easiest to recognise (though I wouldn’t go looking out for Sugar’s for unaired episodes) and besides, Puhoy airs in a few minutes so I need to sleep to avoid spoilers.
